Various Posters

Various posters completed at RISD, ranging in size from 18" x 24" to A0.

Optik

Optik is a typeface based on impossible shapes. The letterforms play with the illusion of depth and space, creating visual paradoxes that cause cognitive misunderstandings. The typeface is based off of Futura because of its geometric principles, and is named Optik for its german roots.

Screen Print

Screen Print is a series of screenprinted posters about the process of making screenprinted posters and its relationship to digital technology. Posters were printed at the Iskra Print Collective January 2011.

Bad Ideas

A collection of Bad Ideas that can't/won't work but are way too good to let go. For a quarter you can purchase a bad idea, which includes a contract on the opposite side to sign your name and date, completing the transfer of title.

2012

Congrats everyone, we made it! End of the line, or is it? You either believe it is, or you don't.

Camera 1 / Camera 2

Presented in a split-screen format, Camera 1 / Camera 2 consists of two cameras and two subjects. Throughout the video, one half of the screen provides a view of the subject, while the other half shows what the subject himself is filming. Non-linear in format, the vignettes within the video offers extended views of singular moments.

In collaboration with Marc Choi.

Highway

Highway is a book documenting the recently destroyed section of highway running through downtown Providence in 2010. The images were pixelated in reference to abandonware, or the discontinued support for outdated software, such as the urban planning game Sim City.

End Beginning

End Beginning takes two forms of communication, text and image, and experiments with interpretation. Words are paired with opposing images, creating an unclear relationship that contradicts itself. The book starts from slightly awkward relationships and ends with far more obscure pairings...
at the beginning.

Visual Prose

Visual Prose is a ongoing series of quick experiments in collages/ patterns/textures, created as a visual exercise in between work.

Color

Experiments with color and sound.
